The B.C Lions took a chance on a 6'3, 288 pound Offensive Lineman Garry Sawatzky in 1995, signing a player who spent the pervious 9 years in prison for manslaughter. At 17, he left home to join the Los Brovos Motorcycle Club. Six years later, Garry would be charged and convicted of second degree manslaughter in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
